Aromatherapy for mental health

Concerns about one's mental health should not be dismissed. Aromatherapy is a complementary method of treatment for mental health issues, complementing talk therapy and other methods.
There is a long history of people using aromatherapy. Aromatherapy refers to the use of aromatic plant oils for medical purposes.
Dr. Blossom Kochhar, an expert in aromatherapy for skin, hair, and mental health, stressed the significance of aromatherapy in her talk on World Mental Health Day.
Dr. Kochhar, Chairperson of the Blossom Kochar Group of Companies, has been working in the field of aromatherapy for over 42 years, and she has found that certain essential oils are effective in combating symptoms of anxiety, despair, nervousness, lack of confidence, and lethargy.
Many individuals find relief from aromatherapy when dealing with mental health issues. In cases when the individual's mental disorder is rooted in their genetics, it is recommended that they see a medical professional before using aromatherapy. Smell has powerful effects on the brain. Dr. Kochhar remarked how beneficial it was to have patients use this method to express themselves.
She also said that a person's outward look might be affected by their mental health. When people seek me out, it's because they have some kind of difficulty. I'm aware of the poor condition of their mental framework. Fatigued people can look and feel unattractive due to their lack of grooming and lacklustre appearance. In order to alleviate the signs of tension and worry, I offer them oils," she said.
Dr. Kochhar provided a list of unique oils that may be used to treat a wide range of psychological disorders. To stimulate more action, orange, or Lang Lang oil is used. Orange or lang lang oil is administered to persons who are feeling sluggish. Jasmine oil is what I use to help those who are feeling down or lack self-assurance. Maximum use is encouraged. Put some in your diffuser or add it to your bath water. 'Just keep it close,' she urged.
Doctor Kochhar suggests using lavender oil for nerves and anxiety. When clients are feeling anxious or insecure, we recommend lavender oil, yoga, and regular body massages. "Those who can't sleep may also benefit from lavender oil," she said.
Essential oils like sandalwood oil are known to have a calming effect. Sandalwood oil, as Dr. Kochhar noted, "calms the nerves and helps to release anger" when individuals are harbouring pent-up rage.
