Beneficiaries are receiving their Ayushman PVC cards in accordance with National Health Authority (NHA) regulations. Gujarat has printed at least 50 lakh PVC cards, which have been given to the corresponding chief district health officials and medical officers. It was announced that the Ayushman PVC cards would be distributed at the village level. A ceremony to distribute Ayushman cards to recipients of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-Ma Amrutam (PMJAY-MA) scheme took place in Gujarat on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended. More than 50 lakh participants of the PMJAY-MA scheme in Gujarat received the Ayushman PVC cards, which are composed of lightweight polyvinyl chloride material. The Mukhyamantri Amrutam (MA) and Mukhyamantri Amrutam Vatsalya (MAV) healthcare programmes of Gujarat were linked with the PMJAY programme of the Center, which provides healthcare services to the economically disadvantaged sectors, in 2019. All recipients of state-sponsored programmes were therefore qualified to receive PMJAY-MA cards, according to the press release. According to the state government of Gujarat, 1.58 crore beneficiaries have received PMJAY-MA cards since the two programmes were combined. According to the government website, each family will receive health coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh under the Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY, the largest health insurance programme in the world.The Gujarat government merged the Mukhyamantri Amrutam and Mukhyamantri Amrutam Vatsalya programmes with the Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY after its launch in 2019, and beneficiaries of all three schemes received co-branded cards under the PMJAY-MA.
